Roasted Butternut Squash…A Fresh In Season Recipe From Sweet Basil

This recipe prep can get a little messy, but is so quick, smells amazing and tastes even better!!!

Roasted Butternut Squash

INGREDIENTS 

2 medium butternut squash, halved lengthwise and seeded
4 tsp. butter
4 tsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. honey
pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
1.) Cut butternut squash into halves. Using a spoon, scoop and scrap out seeds. Place butternut squash halves on a large baking sheet flesh side up.

2.) Place 1 teaspoon butter in the middle of each squash.

3.) Mix 3 tsp. butter and honey well, add brown sugar and spices. Rub mixture over each squash. Season with salt and black pepper. Roast 25 minutes, until flesh is fork-tender.
