This recipe is a perfect base for spaghetti or marsala…Delicious enough to use alone over pasta, chicken, brown rice…whatever you’re in the mood for, it gives any dish a flavor blast instantly, without adding a lot fat or calories.
1 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
6 ounces of freshly chopped herbs (Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Cilantro, Oregano is what I used)
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and diced
Rinse mushrooms. Slice if whole. Coarsely chop herbs. Dice garlic.
Pour a small amount of olive oil into a small sauce pr frying pan. Begin heating on medium high. Add mushrooms, garlic and herbs. Stir mushroom mixture into the oil, making sure to coat them well. Stir frequently, to keep from burning. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until mushrooms are a golden brown and tender.
